Charley D. and Milo

Excellent Country rock from 1970. Unfortunately there is little info on this band to be found on the internet, so if you have any let me know. Members are Charley D. Harris - guitar/vocals, Lon Milo DuQuette - guitar/vocals, Joe Wilson - guitar, Dave Dunn - bass/violin, Dave Ledbetter - drums. . If you like Gram Parsons, Flying Burrito Bros. or Mike Nesmith, you'll love this. A totally obscure country gem.

UPDATE: I have recently received comments from both Charley D's son and Lon Milo Duquette! Since I originally posted this album I have grown to really love it. Not very often that you find an album where you like every song. I can safely say that i like every song on this one! Awesome, awesome album. I would put it near my top faves fer sure! Thank you men for giving us this!

1. Theme from Mount Oread
2. Annie Moon
3. Ann
4. Word Is Love
5. I'll Keep It With Mine
6. Pack up Your Sorrows
7. Inner Man
8. Mr. Muggles
9. Take Me Home
10. Om Sweet Om

Thanks for the very kind review.

This is Milo (Lon Milo DuQuette). Charley and I and David Dunn of the original group have twice gotten together in the last few years for weekends of picking and grinning.

Charley (now Charley Parker) lives in Idaho and still writes songs and plays professionally. He's got some great CDs!

My wife, Constance, and I still live in Costa Mess, California.

I still write and play, but on a less heroic level. I write books and lecture about esoteric things mostly.

I do have a new CD of my songs available at:

Seems the kudo's are deserved! "Sylphs and gnomes and un-dines too---Sa-la-manders beckon you..." indeed! These lines and simple harmonied repetitions will come to haunt your sleep, in a most pleasant hooky way...the kettle drums and girl vocal....the Dylan AND Farina covers...it's true every song is strong and special). Oboy
finds like this are groovy, great things always yet to be unearthed from those rich once-in-a-lifetime late 60s veins. Now to visit the artists' current sites!

This is great, I've been curiously looking for this album for a while. Thanks.

Just wondering (against hope), does the album case have lyrics, and would it be possible to get them up? Scanned or typed? That would be utterly amazing of you, thanks.

Hi, I seem to be having a problem with the password.
I have tried it several times, copied and pasted etc. with no luck. Has the password changed to open this file? Thanks, Josh

Hi, man!
I downloaded this album from you some time ago but I had to travel and didn't have time to listen to it then but I finished listening to this far out record a few minutes ago. Wow! What a great country rock band! The guys really deserved to hit the big time. I really can't understand how things happen!?!?! But I'm sure the late great Gram Parsons, in his grave, is proud of this work! I'd really would like to download more songs of this outstanding cosmic American band.

Greetings from Brazil!

It is unfortunate that this is the band's ONLY album. They did release a single before it and also made an appearance on a Johnny River's album, I can't remember the name right now. This is one of those hidden gems Mojo magazine will discover and all of the sudden it will have a huge underground following.

I had this album but it was stolen about a year ago in North Carolina.

I'd really like to still be able to listen to the album

Does anyone know where I can purchase this as a CD and/or music file(s) ?

thanks,

Hal S.
